location
The base of operations for Shepard, the Normandy Crew, and any cross-canon live-in crewmates, colloquially known as the "Space Base", is located in the south-western part of Northtown.
It is #2 in this image.
The official description reads:
"While the building itself isn't much to look at, it is one of the tallest buildings in Northtown. It also houses a massive fallout shelter beneath it, full of hospital beds and mattresses. However, it appears to have been strongly fortified somewhat recently, and it's nearly impossible to force your way inside."
appearance
Once a warehouse, the Normandy crew's home base has been a WIP over the last three or four months.
Originally, it looked like this:
Now, it looks more like this:
HA HA, I AM TOTALLY KIDDING. I don't that much yellow even exists in Box.
In all seriousness: Now, the building has been partitioned off into two very sturdy levels and a number of rooms in each level. The building was originally a warehouse, but the windows have since been sealed over with metal save for rifle slats in both upstairs and downstairs windows. Still, the warehouse interior means both the first floor and the second floor's ceilings are very high.
The walls were insulation between two sheets of plywood for the longest time, but Shepard had a lot of time alone and a lot of productive energy going to waste, and now they're generally a sort of plaster. Not great, not nearly Normandy status, but good enough.
The floor is stone on the first floor, wood and other such building materials on the second. Shepard's ganked a couple of old rugs from some of the nearby houses to cover the bare floor in her room, and I doubt she's the only one.
The upstairs rooms are connected by a hallway, the other side of which overlooks the central room (which, height-wise, spans both floors) - that is to say, the upstairs is a U-shape. It's not a balcony, but rather, a wall with a few cut windows to look down into the main room.
The Space Base has a little bit of power (a few good generators they'd rather not waste if they can help it) and cold running water.
The front door has multiple deadlocks, though only one of the locks has more than one key. As such, Shepard likes to keep at least one person inside at all times to guard their gear/supplies and to man the door. Better that than leaving it mostly unguarded, yeah?

ground floor
& - This is the MAIN ROOM. I... forgot to add the front goddamn door, but it's located in the gap between the two tables at the bottom of this room. This is where everyone gathers for briefing when they don't want to fuck with the meeting room, where everyone gears up for battle, etc. It is basically the hub for whatever you'd need to get the fuck out the door post-haste. A couple of the tables are full of spare gear, weaponry, and ammo - not nearly the full supply of course, just enough to grab on the go - and a couple more are for items in transition, like loads of supplies before they're picked through. It can also be used for training or sparring in! This room is the only room in all of the Space Base that has no second floor. It extends all the way up to the warehouse ceiling, and the second floor wraps around it like a U.
M - This is the MEETING ROOM, much like the Normandy's briefing room. Probably looks something like this but a little bigger. When everyone needs a sit-down or when they need to pore over a set of maps or something idek, this is the place to do it.
S - SHEPARD'S QUARTERS, the only bedroom of the whole lot of them that I've furnished even in the slightest, but I did it just in case people come knocking at her door like in canon. She's probably got an old couch against the far wall too, I just didn't want to draw a couch.
L - LOUNGE. Yeah, they've got a lounge. It actually kind of sucks. They've hauled in maybe a half-dozen of the best couches, recliners, or love-seats they could find and lined the walls with them, but thaaaat's all there really is to it so far. I guess finding fun shit to do wasn't Shepard's top priority. As empty as the middle of the room is, this is actually a decent place to train/spar.
K - Separated from the lounge by a bar-table and set of mismatched stools is the KITCHEN. The counters (in yellow) are lined with various repaired appliances and makeshift cooking mechanisms. The kitchen is always stocked with something - enough canned foods, dried foods, and fresh stuff (e.g. fresh veggies, wild game) for a few days. Shepard keeps an eye on the stock, makes sure there's enough for each new resident, unless she can pawn the job off on some poor quarian schmuck (sorry Kal). As of the last few weeks, they've got a functioning fridge, but it's not terribly cool.
G - GENERAL STORAGE for pretty much anything anyone wants to store. It's kind of a haphazard mix of stuff, but at least it's not a messy mix?
F - This tiny room hosts the FALLOUT SHELTER hatch. I have no diagram for the fallout shelter yet but it's not like they go down there super often anyway. It's mostly just full of supplies, I labeled most of them on Shepard's inventory post.
A - This is an empty room. It was formerly occupied, however - they could never quite get the blood out of the walls...
B - This is TALI'S ROOM.
C - This is JOKER'S ROOM.
D - This is EDI'S ROOM. Yes, EDI gets a room, fuck you.
E - This is KAL'REEGAR'S ROOM.
upstairs
& - Same as detailed above.
2 - This is an empty room formerly inhabited by MORDIN SOLUS. Much of his equipment is still inside, so this is the go-to room for anything science or medical.
3 - This is GROOT'S ROOM.
4 - This is KARKAT & SOLLUX'S ROOM. Sorry, neighbors.
5 - This is MIA'S ROOM.
9 - This is GARRUS'S ROOM.
11 - This is KAIDAN'S ROOM.
14 - This is THANE'S ROOM. Everything possible has been done to dry out the air here so Thane can do his best not to drown in his own lungs, and it seems to have maybe slowed the process down a tiny bit?
6-8, 10, 12, 13 - These are empty rooms of various sizes. Some are probably occupied, we'll find out once you all claim your folks' rooms, but most of them have at least a piece of furniture, generally a mattress in a sheet.
